This amazing estuary is located at the place where the Coos River enters the Pacific Ocean. The name of the city comes from the name of Coos Bay Jetty. The construction started in 1890 and it then became an important port for Oregon.

The Southern Oregon Coast Range is a wonderful recreational area, located only a stone throw away from Coos Bay.
