Corinth is a lovely town in Alcorn County, Mississippi, in the United States of America. With a population of almost 15.000 residents living in a large area of 30 squared miles, Corinth is also the country seat for Alcorn. When Corinth was established, it was at the junction of Mobile & Ohio and Memphis & Charleston railroads, so in 1853 the town was called Cross City, but a newspaper editor suggested the name Corinth with a Greek inspiration, meaning crossroads.
