Corvallis is located in the Benton County, in the State of Oregon. As the county seat, Corvallis has a population which numbers approximatively 54,500 inhabitants. Corvallis is also the center of the Corvallis-Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Area and a nature-based touristic attraction for many.

The Crystal Lakes Sports Fields and Kendall Natural Area is one of the many parks in Corvallis. Corvallis is located in Western Oregon on the river Willamette in Willamette Valley. It draws its importance from being a county seat and home to Oregon State University. Originally named Maysville, the city was renamed by the fur trappers in the area arriving from France. The present name is a Latin phrase which means 'valley's heart'. The legislative assembly bestowed it in 1853.
