Dale City is a small community located in the state of Virginia, with a total population of 63.616 residents, according to the 2006 American Community Survey. Dale City was founded as a result of an idea of a real estate developer, Cecil Don Hylton. He managed to build this city from scratch, thus developing into what it is today. Top Attractions Within Dale City

Russel House and Store is a 19th century historic building located in Dale City and is now used as a restaurant. Initially, a hog and dairy farm, it was converted to dairying in the 1950s. The farm buildings were torn down in 1991. On this site also stood the Russel Store, the centre of local commercial and social activity in some of the sections of the county. Nowadays, the venue is a great restaurant where there are many varieties of food and beverages.

Dale City Parks. The Waterworks Park is just one of the many parks here in Dale City. Some of the features of this water park include a beach pool entry, an enclosed speed slide, a circular open slide, three jungle walks, a baby pool, beach volleyball, shade pavilions and full service concessions. It is the perfect place to take your children to have a fun filled afternoon.

Birchdale Recreation Centre. Until recently, the park has only been used as a recreation pool and a small meeting space. Recent renovations have vastly improved the pool and the community centre located at Birchdale Recreation Centre and now the surrounding community and tourists can expect to see more programs, clinics and special events.
