Summer is a great time to visit Dallas because of the many exciting activities such as the Taste of Dallas, Riverfront Jazz Festival and Dallas Pride, but the weather can also get too hot so make sure to keep yourself hydrated. If you prefer mild and comfortable weather, then travel in Spring or Autumn seasons, preferably from March to April and September to November.
If you don't want to get stuck in traffic, avoid driving from 6 am until 10 am and from 3 pm until 7 pm. Make sure to leave earlier during Fridays when roads get more congested. Look both ways when the light turns green since most drivers in Dallas usually speed up instead of slowing down when the light turns yellow. Make sure to stay within the speed limits: 30 mph in urban areas, 60 mph in non-built up areas and 70 mph on highways and freeways.
