Colorado State Capitol

It opened in November 1984. Its dome is made of real gold plates which commemorate the Colorado Gold Rush. The building is located in Denver's Civic Center area. Its interior features Colorado Rose Onyx, a rose marble, and white Yule Marble on the Capitol's floor. Take a tour to see the three Mile High Markers, Allen True water murals, Women's Gold Tapestry and the Colorado General Assembly Chambers. The tours are free and available during the week.
Denver Firefighters Museum

The Denver Firefighters Museum is the place to be! Climb in a REAL fire truck, slide down a REAL fire pole and much, much more! They have lots of firefighter equipment, trucks, tools and gear to explore in this historic landmark building that was a working fire station from 1909-1975. There are lots of educational and hands on activities for children. Museum is open Monday thru Saturday 10am to 4pm. Admission is $6 for Adults, $5 for Seniors and Students and $4 for children 2-12 years old. Come do a self-guided tour. The Denver Firefighters Museum is also a great place for birthday parties.
Clyfford Still Museum

The Clyfford Still museum exhibits the legacy of Clyfford Still, one of the most influential American artists of Abstract Expressionism in the 20th century (1904-1980). The museum collection features over than 3,100 works made between 1920 and 1980.
