Dyersburg is located in the Dyer County, in the State of Tennessee. As a county seat, Dyersburg has a population of almost 18,000 inhabitants. Dyersburg was founded in 1823, as the county seat that it is today, and was named after one of the major landowners in the region, Joel H. Dyer.
