 is one of the two houses where poet James Whitcomb Riley lived in Greenfield. He was born and lived here in his childhood. The house was built by his father - Reuben Riley, who was an attorney and the first mayor of Greenfield.The house is kept exactly as it was during the time the poet lived in it and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Mitchell House
 is a museum dedicated to James Whitcomb Riley where all the things the poet left behind after his death are kept.
