Hagerstown is a wonderful city located in Maryland, United States. Hagerstown is the county seat of Washington County. With a population of about 39.600 residents, Hagerstown is considered to be the largest city in the area and the sixth largest one in the state of Maryland. Hagerstown has a surface of 10.7 square miles (27.6 square kilometers). Hagerstown was founded in 1762, but the city was incorporated only in 1813. Currently, Hagerstown is also known under the name of "The Hub City". A great history, numerous cultural venues and spots of an amazing beauty are what you will be able to see in Hagerstown.

Hagerstown City Park
is one of the many beautiful parks that can be seen in the city. The park is also known under the nickname of "America's Second Most Beautiful City Park" and if there is one thing certain about this location, is that it will charm you on the spot. Since 1990, the City Park has been on the National Register of Historic Places. Numerous walking paths, playground areas, but also tennis and baseball courts can be found within this park. In the Park you will also be able to visit the Western Maryland 202 Locomotive Display and Museum.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts
was first established in 1929. Currently, the museum hosts various permanent collections and exhibits, but the venue is also the location for many events, including musical concerts and special shows for children.

The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum
depicts the railway history of the area. Exhibits here include local railroad displays and many collections dating back to the early railroad history. Discovery Station is the science museum of the city, visited by numerous people every year.

The Maryland Theatre
is one of the most important cultural venues of Hagerstown. Various shows and stage performances are held in this location. The theater was built in 1915 and restored in 1978 after a fire. The capacity of the venue can host 1.300 people. Shows include orchestra concerts, but also children events.
