The Hermitage is a historical plantation of Nashville, located in the area of Madison. Andrew Jackson, the 7th president of the country was its owner at some point, although he did not use the property very often. The home was built in 1835 by architects Reiff and Hume in a Greek Revival Style. The house is situated between two rivers, Cumberland and Stones and is now a museum where you can find more about the life of the president. He and his wife Rachel Jackson are buried in the garden of this magnificent property.
