Mount Washington is a lovely city located in Kentucky, United States. Part of Bullitt County, Mount Washington has an area of 5.3 square miles (13.8 square kilometers). The population of the city is of more than 13,500 residents. Mount Washington was incorporated in 1822 under the name of Mt. Vernon, but this name had to be changed to avoid confusions, event which took place in 1833. Mount Washington is located in the proximity of the beautiful and big city, Louisville. Nowadays, Mount Washington is well known for its great heritage and numerous historic buildings.
James M. Lloyd House is a major spot of interest in Mount Washington. The historic home is the perfect place to visit in this wonderful city, at least if you want to learn more about the development and culture of Mount Washington. The home dates back to 1880 and since 1993 it has been introduced on the National Register of Historic Places. Anyway, you have to know that is not the only such building you will be able to see in Mount Washington. The two other homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places are Henry J. Barnes House and Zack Stansbury House.
Mila Nova Winery is the perfect place to visit if you love wine tasting events. The area is really beautiful and when being here you will be able to admire some great views and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. The entertainment options offered here really are fantastic and there is no way you are not going to have a great time in this Mount Washington spot.
Bullitt County Coon Hunters Club is the spot to be in for unique outdoor adventures. Anyway, you should not imagine that this is the only such venue of Mount Washington. The many parks located in the city will offer visitors of all ages the possibility to plan all type of outdoor recreation experiences or just simple walks to admire the lovely views.
