New Castle is an impressive city in the state of Pennsylvania, United States, located more exactly in Lawrence County and being its county seat at the same time. The history of New Castle goes back to 1798, when civil engineer John Carlysle Stewart traveled to the area and settled the town, that same year. Then, New Castle became incorporated as a borough in 1825 and as a city in 1869. It did not take long until New Castle became a major commercial center and agricultural hub of the area.
