The Combellack-Blair House was built in 1895 by William Hill Combellack. The Fountain and Tallman Museum is housed in a beautiful Rustic Vernacular Victorian architecture building. The construction was erected in 1853 in Placerville and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The initial purpose of the building was that of a soda water factory. The museum holds artifacts related to this former industry developed in the city and to other important aspects for the past.

Apple Hill is located near Placerville and it is the home of many wine producers.
