Schertz is a beautiful city located in Texas, United States of America. Schertz is part of three different counties - Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe. The population of Schertz recently exceeded 30.000 residents. The area of the city is of 24.7 square miles. In the last 5 years, Schertz had a rapid and massive growth. The city was settled in 1843, when the first families came to town: the Schneiders, the Maskes, the Mergeles and the Schertzs. The city was named in the beginning Cibolo Pit and then Cut Off, after the flood of Cibolo Creek, when the settlement was cut off.
