3.  Shop at Somerset Mall: Three levels include anchor stores of Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Marshall Fields.  There are plenty of dining establishments to keep you fueled up, and over 80 specialty stores offering everything from gifts and apparel to home décor and eyewear.

4.  Walk through the Lloyd A. Stage Nature Center: a 100-acre preserve dedicated to preservation and education. Learn about the wildlife and plants that are native to this part of the country. Exhibits change seasonally, so come back often.  

5.  Play at the Troy Sports Center: This facility houses an ice rink for open skating, lessons, and practice sessions for the Detroit Red Wings NHL team. Indoor soccer and high school and adult league hockey are also played here.
