Warminster is a township located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Warminster has a population of approximately 32,600 inhabitants. Its name comes from the English town, Warminster of Wiltshire. Warminster is home to many attractions and wonderful places, so a vacation here would be great.
Warminster Township, Pennsylvania (population 33,000), is 20 miles north of Philadelphia. John Fitch, the inventor of the steamboat, lived nearby. Congressman Robert Ramsey and John Hart, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, were born and lived here. General George Washington had his headquarters in nearby Hartsville in 1777.

Bucks County historic areas: Bucks County, which includes Warminster, is a uniquely historic area, and nearby Ivyland has been described as "perhaps the finest collection of Victorian buildings in the state." Most of the Warminster borough is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also listed are many of the county's historic homes, covered bridges, mills, Friends (Quaker) meeting houses, farm complexes, canals, taverns, a museum of tile works, and general stores.
2. Warminster parks: The township maintains 409 acres of active and passive recreation areas in 13 parks, many of which are pocket parks in neighborhoods. Soccer, football, basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, and softball are offered by various adult and youth sport organizations throughout the seasons. Warminster Community Theatre, under the auspices of the Parks and Recreation Department, offers inexpensive musicals, comedy, and drama for adults and children.
3. Old Fire Dam Park: This historic park includes a small pond originally created, long before fire hydrants, by the Warminster Fire Company to ensure an adequate supply of water. It is now mostly a natural scenic area, with the pond occasionally used for ice skating. In the adjoining The Village development are another park and playground.
4. Washington Crossing State Park: From this nearby site, Washington and men of the Continental Army and militia crossed the Delaware River on Christmas night 1776 and marched to Trenton, New Jersey, where they attacked and defeated Hessian troops. The park has many historic structures. The Durham Boat House is an early- 20th century structure housing the Durham boat replicas. These boats were originally used to haul iron ore and were the type of craft used for the crossing. McConkey's Ferry Inn is an 18th-century inn and tavern owned during the time of the crossing by Samuel McConkey, who operated a ferry business across the Delaware. The 1828 Taylorsville General Store was also the post office for Taylorsville (now known as Washington Crossing). Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve is devoted to the preservation of the native plants of Pennsylvania. It features trails, programs, special events, and exhibits.
5. Mercer museums: In nearby Doylestown, Henry Chapman Mercer was an historian, archaeologist, collector, and ceramist who left behind a legacy of two museums, one of which was his home. Fonthill Museum was built between 1908 and 1910, and designed by Mercer himself, from the inside out. The National Historic Landmark is constructed entirely of hand-mixed concrete, and contains 44 rooms, 32 stairwells, 18 fireplaces, and more than 200 windows. A guided tour reveals more than 900 prints and objects of everyday life, tools, and artifacts that Mercer gathered throughout the world. The interior surfaces display many of his original decorative tiles. The Mercer Museum is a seven-story concrete building built between 1913 and 1916 by Mercer, eight laborers, and "Lucy" the horse. The National Historic Landmark has elaborate towers, gables, and parapets. More than 60 Early American trades are represented, including woodworking, metalworking, agricultural, textile, and dairy tools. Some Native American implements date back to 8,000 B.C.
