Westminster is a nice city in the state of Maryland, United States, located more exactly in Carroll County and being its county seat at the same time. The history of Westminster goes back to 1764, when the city was founded. Later on, Westminster became incorporated in 1818 and has developed hugely ever since.
According to the 2010 census, Westminster has a total population of 18,590 residents, and spans on a total area of 5.7 miles. Westminster is also a popular tourist destination, as many people come here to relax and to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Bear Branch Nature Center is a wonderful place in Westminster, situated in the core of the nature and featuring a planetarium, an aquarium, and three telescopes. The Hashawha Tower is also located here and it is an old windmill with a small observation deck at the top.
